DescriptionUne dérive musicale, sans carte ni boussole, de Bruxelles jusqu’aux rives de l’Orient
Orphise Labarbe : Vocal, Anaïs Lambert : Violin, Emmanuel Haessig : Clarinet Romain Karsenty : Accordion, Gaspard Vanardois : Guitar, Ud Marc Renders : Doublebasse, Romain Duyckaerts : Drums, Simon Leleux : Drums Wata Wata… what’s that? Is that one destructive virus coming from Former Soviet Union? Or perhaps one soda diluted with raki and ţuică? An asymmetrical step of dance that only exists in our heads? Or is that one legendary vessel run aground off the coasts of Old Europe? Wata Wata is a bit of all of these things at a time… but it is also a band of eight musicians serving festive and moving music, colourful and heady, conveying the most universal humanity through the most singular languages. Be it in Rromani, Greek, Romanian or Arabic, their moan and sorrow often end up in big bursts of laughter; distress becomes promise, then caress. They deliver one declaration of love and revolt, breathing and rubbing, ropes and blades, blood and honey. EventList powered by schlu.net |
