Turucuto is a piano and voice duo from Argentina formed by Roque Celiz and Mercedes Maiztegui. They propose the fusion of poetry and the rhythms of Argentine folklore with jazz and experimental music. Formed in 2013, their music mixes the hill and the asphalt, the electronic and the acoustic; with folkloric airs they filter the experience of an urban landscape. The word "turucuto" comes from a term that in Tucumán (Argentina) refers to the way of charging the children popularly known as "a caballito" or "a cococho". In 2014 Turucuto recorded their first CD. From that moment until now they have performed in different cultural centers and theaters of Argentina and Colombia sharing his music in different areas and provinces. Just released his second album: "Full of the Moon, Down to the Sea. Is presenting it on a tour between Argentina, San Pablo, Mexico and Europe.
