SIRIN started of as a duo with Tcha Limberger, half Manouch, and Sacha Gaidar, partly Russian. Sacha Gaidar plays accordion, Tcha Limberger plays guitar and violin, and they both sing. Being good friends, they always had a musically gripping and spontaneous way of passing on their friendship's vibes to the public. SIRIN choose itself a large repertoire of East European songs, mostly from Russia, Ukraine, the ex-Yugoslavian countries and Transylvania. When they met the amazing base player Csikos Vilmos, he proved to be totally fitting for SIRIN; since three years now, this Hungarian gipsy base player is an important part of them, and the duo became a trio. Especially in the Russian songs, both Csikos and Tcha tend to rocket off in virtuoso jazzy improvisations, nevertheless sticking close to the essential character of the songs. SIRIN's concerts are also full of humour, since these energy-bursting bonvivant buddies cannot resist passing their inside jokes to the public. It's all about laughter, tears, energy and music, that's what you get as much as you like with SIRIN.
