Tristan Driessens, Nathan Daems and Robbe Kieckens played together for the first time with the Soolmaan Quartet, which released their very Eastern and modal jazz oriented debut album Letters to Handenberg (Homerecords) in 2017.
These three musicians explore a wide range of musical affinities, from classical makam from Istanbul and traditional music from Greece and the Eastern Mediterranean, alternated by new compositions with a flavour from Persia and India.
A concert with this trio guarantees a varied program with musicians interacting with each other with surprising musicality and expertise.
