The brothers Anirban Das and Diptam Sinha Biswas from Kolkata West
Bengal form a unique vocal duet of North Indian classical and semi
classical music.
They perform complementing each other in a traditional form of Indian
Classical Music with all its fundamentals and nuances, following the
footsteps of their Gharana (School of Music) style.

Debasish Bhattacharjee began tabla lessons with his father at the age of
seven. Born and raised in Serampore near Kolkatta in the Indian state of
West Bengal, he eventually moved to professional music teacher Pandit
Swapan Chowdhury at the age of 12 and learned the tabla style of Luknow
gharana. From 1987, he received lessons from Professor Bablu Biswas.
Until today Debasish Bhattarcharjee has performed in almost all states
of India, also in the USA, Dubai, Russia and in various European
countries such as France, Spain, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg,
Sweden, Malta and Switzerland. Since 2008, Debasish Bhattacharjee has
been living in Cologne, Germany and is the managing director and tabla
teacher of Anubhab Academy. Currently, he regularly plays concerts all
over Germany and works on various musical projects in the border area of
Indian and Western music. For concert, workshop or guest performance
