Event
DescriptionThe collective “Comment peut-on être persan ? ” presents the works of
ten Iranian artists currently living and working in Tehran. Their drawings and paintings take us out of context, far from the clichés often associated with Iran in the Western imagination. Here, there are no fixed views of the city or politics, but artworks created in various regions of Iran, centered on nature: silent mountains, vast fields, blooming trees, peaceful deserts, generous sunlight — a nature both real and imagined. These forty fragments of Iran, inspired by the natural world, are expressed through a wide range of styles: realistic or metaphorical, neo-impressionist or abstract. Living in a city like Tehran — and being an artist in Iran — is already a courageous act. For these ten artists, nature becomes a place of refuge, gentle resistance, and intimate expression. A kind of shelter that, in today’s uncertain world, may speak to many of us. Come discover these sensitive, free, and vibrant works.
