Ces trois musiciens explorent la musique traditionnelle bulgare à
travers des arrangements élégants et raffinés. Ils présenteront une
sélection de morceaux représentant les différents styles régionaux de
Bulgarie : la Thrace, la région de la mer Noire et celle de Sofia. Ce
trio intimiste propose une instrumentation typiquement bulgare : la
gadulka (violon vertical), le kaval (flûte oblique de berger) et la
tamboura (luth à manche long).

•    Stoicho Ivanov (gadulka), originaire de Burgas, issu d’une famille
de musiciens. Il joue de la gadulka depuis son plus jeune âge, a étudié
à l’Académie de musique de Plovdiv et réside aujourd’hui à Bruxelles.

•    Anton Kerkhof (kaval, clarinette) s’intéresse à la musique bulgare
depuis plusieurs années. Il a entrepris de nombreux voyages en Bulgarie
et étudié auprès de grands maîtres et musiciens de mariage tels que
Petar Voinikov, Nedyalko Nedyalkov et Peyo Peev.
•    Benjamin Clement (tamboura) accompagne avec la traditionnelle
tamboura. Depuis plus de vingt ans, il participe à diverses formations
de musiciens bulgares et roumains (notamment avec Mladen Mladenov et
Dimos Vougioukas), et joue également dans le Tcha Limberger Trio.

These three musicians explore traditional Bulgarian music through
elegant and refined arrangements. They will present a selection of
pieces representing the different regional styles of Bulgaria: Thrace,
the Black Sea region, and the Sofia region. This intimate trio features
typically Bulgarian instrumentation: the gadulka (vertical fiddle), the
kaval (shepherd's oblique flute), and the tamboura (long-necked lute).

Stoicho Ivanov (gadulka), originally from Burgas, comes from a family of
musicians. He has played the gadulka since he was young, studied at the
Plovdiv Academy of Music, and now lives in Brussels.

Anton Kerkhof (kaval, clarinet) has been interested in Bulgarian music
for several years. He has traveled extensively to Bulgaria and studied
with great masters and wedding musicians such as Petar Voinikov,
Nedyalko Nedyalkov, and Peyo Peev.

Benjamin Clement (tamboura) accompanies with the traditional tamboura.
For over twenty years, he has participated in various Bulgarian and
Romanian musical ensembles (notably with Mladen Mladenov and Dimos
Vougioukas), and also plays in the Tcha Limberger Trio.
