Martin Alvarado is one of the most representative young singers in Argentinean tango. He has an original, charismatic style with a particular way of phrasing the songs and improvising melodies. With a free, informal presence on stage, he has a unique repertoire based on new tangos, classics and old songs that have rarely been recorded before. He has released two solo albums, "Martin Alvarado" (2003) and "Asi es mi tango" (2006). Both gained much attention in Argentina and European countries. He has shared stage and recordings with stars like Raul Garello, Carlos Garcia and the Orquesta del Tango de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires, and Leopoldo Federico ( famous bandoneon player, featuring on Martin’s second album in "La misma pena"). Since 2008 he stars in "El concierto del Nuevo Tango" together with Patrick Gallois (flute and orchestra conduction), Quinteto Otra Vez and Jyväskylä, the Oulu and Kuopio Symphony Orchestra and Kymi Sinfonietta in different cities of Finland, every concert being sold out. Martin Alvarado is now touring Europe again. During previous tours he has performed in Spain, France, Austria, Finland, Sweden and Belgium.
