Description
| There is a historical link between Django Reinhardt and Brussels. The flamboyant guitar player has performed a lot in this city and had many friendships here. The SwingàJo Trio brings back the melodic swing and the improvisations of his compositions in an authentic mixture of two guitars and a double bass. Gilles Boujo and Eric Mercier have been playing jazz and blues with several masters of these genres in Belgium and abroad, to finally find their definitive love story in the pure swing style of Django Reinhardt and Charlie Christian. Robertinho Mihai has his origins in classical music and is now the leader of the double-basses in Belgium’s National Orchestra. At the same time, his heart always kept a hot spot for the Rumanian music of his origins and for the Django-style swing jazz. These three mingled together and made the SwingàJo Trio, an explosive mixture for hot spirits! |
