Shagird' (disciple) of Sarod Maestro Ustad Amjad Ali Khan in 1997 who has
mentored her since. Conferred the prestigious title of ‘Sur-Mani’, Junior

Programme by the French Government in 2005. Performed and represented
India on major stages and music festivals world-wide. Invited for

collaborating and performing with various European music groups.
Passionate about traditional music from India and Africa, Bernard Flament
began his training as a percussionist during the 90s. During this decade,
he also made these first trips to India to discover this culture. In 2003,
he is one of the very few Belgians who want to practice tablas, the famous
Indian percussion. Bernard begins a first introduction to tabla under the
guidance of the Belgian tabla player and drummer Pierre Narcisse who
advises him to continue with his own teacher Suman Sarkar (Calcutta).
