Vocals, a base and two guitars, that's the Larisa Quartet. The repertoire of this group consists of Hispano-American songs. The jazzy swing character of the accompaniment gives a very particular sound, where singer Nora Helali finds an exciting extra in Merel Verwimp's second voice. Boleros, tangos, bossas or Mexican walses, it's a program that honors great singers of South America like Chavela Vargas, Soledad Bravo, Lila Downs, Lhasa. The songs speak about the human history of passion, love, death, with an omnipresent sense of humor.
