AZU-K - A spicy cocktail of Afro-Latin Jazz

The AZU-K project is born out of passion for Afro-Latin music and rhythms.
In January 2010 Guillaume Codutti( percussion) decided to get together with other musicians to share this passion. He found Esinam Dogbatse( flute, percussion), Martin Daniel( piano), and Alex Aymi( double bass), three Brussels musiciens,
and they all went for it wholeheartedly.
AZU-K revisits the different styles that have been influential in Latin Jazz, ie mambo( Machito and Ray Barretto),
swing (Chick Corea and John Coltrane), and the fusion elements introduced by Chano Dominguez or Julien Lourau in a more modern style. AZU-K's repertoire is a spicy musical cocktail with Cuban, Brazilian, Andalusian and New York flavors.
