ROMVIA FROM GREECE & GLAFKOS SMARIANAKIS: REBETIKO, TRADITIONAL, MEDITERRANEAN, BALKAN

Description

Romvia Ensemble and Glafkos Smarianakis from Greece join forces and travel to Belgium, France and the Netherlands!

Romvia Ensemble took its name from the small street organs that were very present in Greek streets during the first half of the 20th century.

Travelling from Café Aman and early Rebetiko to traditional Greek music, the ensemble also explores the Mediterranean and Balkan repertoire and newly composed music of today. With all these ingredients the quartet offers us a new and very interesting sound.

ROMVIA :

Thanos Bouris - bouzouki, vocals
Panagiotis Diamantis - guitar, vocals
Haroula Tsalpara - accordeon, vocals

Glafkos Smarianakis - violin, vocal
