Haris Laureisen, laouto Antonis Leontidis, with new compositions and pieces from his debut album "Kryfo" (Hidden), touches on the themes of love and separation with old mandinades and narrative songs of the Cretan people. Accompanying him, the talented musician Haris Laureisen highlights the old and new compositions with his own unique style. Antonis Leontidis was born in 1996 in Athens. At a very young age, he started learning the Cretan lyre and the music of Crete. In 2016, he returned to his hometown of Margarites, in Rethymnon. He has studied alongside many important teachers of Cretan music, and has broadly studied the wider musical traditions of Greece and the East. He has learned from exceptional musicians, including George Skordalos, Ross Daly, Kelly Thoma, Dimitris Sgouros, Maria Kotti, Irini Derebei, Karolos Kouklakis. He has also repeatedly attended seminars at the Labyrinth Music Workshop and the Merona Music Teaching School. He teaches the Cretan lyre, and composes his own music. He has composed music for Greek and French documentaries, and in 2021 he released his debut album entitled "Kryfo" (Hidden). Since 2014 he has been playing music in Crete and Athens as well as abroad in Italy, Spain, Belgium and the Netherlands. Haris Laureisen was born in Crete in 1993. He started playing the bouzouki at an early age, with an emphasis on rebetiko and folk songs. He then attended the undergraduate and postgraduate program at the Conservatory of Rotterdam. With a specialization in Ottoman music, he started playing the civil lute (lafta). He has collaborated and participated in numerous musical projects both in northern Europe and in Istanbul, some of which are "Cafe Aman Istanbul" and "The Netherlands Blazers Ensemble" and "Rosal Trio" with which his first album was released, including personal compositions. He frequently travels abroad, but is based in Athens where, alongside teaching, he also deals with personal musical projects, focusing on both contemporary and traditional Cretan lute. https://open.spotify.com/album/4kLrAmrVlQiPab7uelZO4h https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=klmE9dfloG0&list=PLY_dLFuXZOkqTzf_GPPEbKw6jC3m7Lyt0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qkLIx2Aaa3o EventList powered by schlu.net |
