Augusto Pirodda was already a performing pianist in Italy when he moved to Holland in 1998 to study jazz piano at the "Koninklijk Conservatorium" in Den Haag. In 4 years he achieved the bachelor and master degree. After a short period in Italy he then went back to Holland and Brussels, where he's living and performing now. He published 3 CD’s.
Augusto Pirodda's concert program is an attempt to overcome the barriers erected by his own and other people's expectations. Through music this attempt becomes a musical adventure without preconceptions, with the determination to conquer the fear that originates from the realization that this undertaking constitutes a very delicate equilibrium. "Like a tight-rope walker who can only count on himself not to fall." (Jacques Prouvost, Jazzques, 23.2.2008).
Fundamentally Augusto Pirodda is on a constant search for the greatest freedom of expression. Music will be the instrument and at the same time the result of this search.
