Ambassador of Bossa Nova in France Paulo Costa is one of those discrete and mythical artists whose name can be found in the dictionary of popular Brazilian music. Celebrated Ambassador of Bossa Nova in France in 2008 following a long career in Brazil as singer and film music composer, Paulo Costa has won the French public's heart by revisiting the songs of two legends and great jazz lovers: Toulouse from Claude Nougaro, that Paulo Costa sings in Portuguese with a personal touch, and Salvador Henri, a Bossa that he composed in French. Cultivating the art of genuine Bossa Nova in the purest style of João Gilberto and Jobim, Paulo Costa compiled his finest songs and some of the best jazz and boss standards in your new concert eloquently called « Saveurs de Bossa » (Bossa flavors). Paulo Costa takes us to an intimate journey filled with sensuality between Paris, Rio, Salvador and Santo Amaro da Purificacao, an island near Bahia where the artist retreated for five year. Each of his songs is beautifully crafted, sung in an acoustic version, either in solo with a guitar, or in a quartet or a sextet, depending on concerts and venues.
