Asad Qizilbash (sarod) and Carlo Strazzante (tabla, udu)

Asad Qizilbash is a recognised master on the sarod, the Indian fretless lute. He started playing the violin at the age of eight, and changed to the sarod as soon as he discovered this instrument. He has performed on many festivals and given numerous concerts on TV, radio etc.

Carlo Strazzante plays Indian and other percussion instruments for many years and toured on the Asian continent regularly, in India and Pakistan, and even Uzbekistan. At this concert he will be playing a mixture of the Indian tabla and the African udu, a terra cotta base percussion from Niger.
