DescriptionTanguango quintet is a female ensemble founded by young academically educated musicians in 2013 with the help of Tango Natural Institute. Tanguango members are: Sonja Lukić (piano), Jelena Adamović (violin), Ljubica Damčević (violin, vocal), Dušica Luković (accordion) and Ana Stašić (double bass).
They started to play tango music as students in Tango Juventud Orchestra led by Prof. Aleksandar Nikolić (bandoneon). In 2007 Tanguango members won the 1st prize at Piazzolla Festival in Castelfidardo, Italy. Apart from Piazzolla's music, Tanguango performes traditional tango music by Carlos Gardel, Anibal Troilo, Osvaldo Pugliese, Francisco Canaro etc. Tanguango has performed at numerous concerts and milongas in Serbia and abroad. Some of the festivals where they appeared are 'La Locura Tango Festival', Innsbruck, 'Tango Postale' Toulouse, 'Tarbes en Tango', 'Tango Unchained' Athens, 'Montengero Summer Tango Camp', 'Ensuenos Tango Festival' Athens, 'Tango Natural Weekend', 'Belgrade Tango Encuentro', 'Sofia Tango Festival', Sofia, 'Malena Tango Festival', Timisoara, 'Mixer Tango Festival', 'KULT Festival'. Some of the venues of Tanguango concerts are Cvijeta Zuzorić Pavilion, Students' Cultural Centre, SASA (Serbian Academy of Science and Arts), Guarnerius hall, the Museum of Science and Technology, Artget gallery, Belgrade Cultural Centre, DKSG (Dom kulture Studentski grad), KIC “Budo Tomović“ etc. In the Teatre Atelje 212 Tanguango had a two year collaboration with the actress Gorica Popović in a popular theatre play “Brod plovi za Beograd“. Studio B, Serbian Broadcasting Corporation, Radio Belgrade, Windsor-Detroit Public Radio, Atlas TV Station, RTCG (Montenegreean National TV Station), 777 Television, The Public Broadcasting Service of Vojvodina are just some of the media that support Tanguango. https://www.tanguango.com EventList powered by schlu.net |
