Muwashah is an Arabic poetry and singing style started about a thousand years ago in the Middle East and Andalusia. The word Muwashah means decorate, improve and embellish.

The city of Aleppo was always known for its great interest in Muwashah, passing it on through the generations, and composing on it until the middle of the twentieth century.

Khaled and Tarek (both from Aleppo) have been playing Muwashah together for more than 17 years. They will present old Muwashah style songs from Aleppo, arranged by them.
