Description
| Indian bansuri & ghatam The gatham and the bansuri are amongst the first instruments humanity has ever created. They are both made with a minimal action of the human hand and are therefore natural by their essence. This concert in Art Base is exceptional. Fabrice met Udupa in 2002 in India while he was studying with Harri Prasad Chaurasia. He lived in the south of India at the time, to approach the Indian music tradition under the tutelage of L. Subramaniam, who himself initiated the Bamboo and Clay Duo by arranging the meeting of the two musicians. Between the two a real friendship has grown ever since and the music you will hear is the fruit of it. Udupa is a raising star in India and surely the most acclaimed exponent of his instrument.
