music, Indrajit Banerjee brings a rare creative individuality to the
sitar — fluid, expressive, and endlessly versatile. He has performed at
festivals and concert halls worldwide, recorded across genres from
classical to funk to jazz fusion, and composed for award-winning films.
Whether playing a centuries-old raga or collaborating with artists from
across the musical spectrum, his playing carries what one critic

virtuosity and sensitivity." Based in Austin, Texas, he is the founder
and director of the Antara School of Indian Classical Music.
